A Big Mess

It's been a crazy time over the last 2 months. Here's a little of what we've been up to.

mess

What you see is the top of my table in my classroom. Usually the table top is free of cables; not now.

Over the last 2 months, we've had to adjust, like so many others in the world, due to the virus that is affecting lives everywhere.

We shut our school for many lessons in March, and then in April made the decision to stop in person lessons.

Quickly we've had to adjust our lessons to the reality of the times, using the internet to teach online lessons. After teaching for over 20 years, a teacher has many tools to teach in many different situations. However, the tools we had were based on in person lessons. We've had to develop a new toolbox with lesson ideas and techniques, to teach students from age 4, up to adult lessons. It's been an interesting learning experience. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Also, we've had to move to online publishing, creating ebooks for sale over the internet.

Lots of problems, lots of learning, lots or solutions; life is for learning.

My messy table is now my table, desk, and teaching platform.

How long will the current situation continue? Who knows, but for the moment, we've hitched a ride and are going with the flow.

Join us in adapting to times. Welcome, to the present.
