Well, my long wait is over.

I have been waiting for a Covid-19 vaccination for a long time.

I've been following the science on the vaccination story, and have seen how effective it has been around the world. My only question was about when I would be able to get it.

For me, there has been a sense of relief. I know that I'm only partly protected now, but it's a start.

Physically, my arm is a bit sore, but otherwise I'm fine. I will have to wait and see how my body reacts after the second dose of the vaccine, due to be received next month.

I'm grateful to all the people involved in getting us this far. The journey is not over, for there Is still much ground to be covered.

But I am hopeful and glad to make it thus far.

I look forward to the end of this pandemic.
