O-Live-U (I love you)

It's fall, and one of the things that means for me is picking and pickling olives.

Aren't they beautiful?

One of the lucky finds in Japan for me has been that olives are grown here, and that most people do nothing with them.

"Waste not." I like to say.

Do I eat olives every day? No.

But, every once in a while, they are good for snacking. Sometimes they are used in cooking. Sometimes we put them in salads. On pizza. Pit them and make a paste.

Whichever which way, they are good. They don't require much work to pickle them, and they last for a long time.

One more item from my list of fall tasks has been checked off.

Nice.
