Simple BBQ-ing

We enjoyed some beautiful weather by doing some BBQ-ing today.

We had another nice day today (yesterday was gorgeously warm and sunny). A picnic at a local park was a nice way to enjoy the weather and be outdoors.


At the park we could occasionally smell some of the BBQ’s going, so on our return journey home we picked up some hot dogs for the BBQ.


Yesterday at a market we found some zucchini and that became the first course to grill today.


Because we were only cooking a little bit of food I decided not to use our BBQ but instead use a simple aluminum tray. The smaller space meant less coals, faster cooking and easier clean up.


I finished the zucchini by adding the grilled zucchini to a metal tray that contained some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic and salt and pepper. Covered with foil and placed on the grill for a few minutes, the flavours mixed and the zucchini was coated with a nice sauce.


I almost enjoyed the zucchini more than the hot dogs. Almost.
