Fondue

Time for one of our favorite winter foods, fondue.

When cooler weather is upon us, we start to eat heartier, body-warming foods.


Today, that food was fondue. We use wine, kirsch, and cheese, cooked in a bowl rubbed with garlic. Into the fondue, we use bread, of course, and if people want, we also add sausages, cooked potatoes, and cooked broccoli. We buy a pre-shredded cheese, and don't worry about being truly authentic. If we could afford it, we'd do it, but we can't. Still, we enjoy it.


The cheese and the bread are the main stars, and they never fail to shine.


Winter is just beginning, and there's a fair chance we'll enjoy fondue once more this winter.
