CCES Halloween Baking Party

Today was our first CCES Halloween Baking Party. It's a change from our usual annual Halloween costume party.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

We celebrated Halloween at our English School by having a different party this year, rather than the usual costume party. It seems everyone and there dog (no offense to dogs) is having a Halloween party now, so we thought we'd change things up and have a Halloween Baking party.

First up were the sausage mummies pictured at the top. With sausage and puff pastry, what can go wrong??? Students wrapped up their 'mummies' and then they were baked.

While the mummy sausages were baking we went on to decorating Halloween Finger cookies.

With so many colored icings and colored chocolate, who wouldn't go a bit overboard and have fun with the colors. The cookies turned out to be truly 'scary'!

Once the cookies were dripping with icing, we started on the most difficult part of the event, the 'Scary Rice Balls'. Using two pre-prepared rice balls as a guide, students decorated the rice balls to look like Frankenstein, using green rice, or to make a Skull, using pink rice. I hereby state that unequivocally, the students did a much better job than I in creating Frankenstein and Skull rice balls.

After a few more activities it was time to say 'goodbye' for the day. Lots of fun, thanks to everyone who came and participated.

Have a Happy Halloween!!!
