(with apologies to The Who's Magic Bus)

Many years ago, thus was my anthem.

There was a BBQ sauce sold by the Real Canadian SuperStore in Winnipeg, where I lived that was unbelievably good. It was good with everything. With everything!!! Thus, it became my Magic Sauce.

I've re-created that sauce, and d___ it tastes good!

Necessity is the mother of invention. This is one of my mantras here in Japan. When items I want cannot be found, they must be made. Thus it is with Magic Sauce. My recipe is not difficult to re-create. In my case, I found a recipe for a rib rub on-line that I liked and made that. Then, some of that was added to ketchup, and some vinegar, liquid smoke, and one or two other items added. Heated up, mixed, and voila, I had Magic Sauce!

I'm happy with my creation. And for you, what is your Magic Sauce?
