Today was a nice day. To my wife and children, I say, “Thank you!”

My day started with breakfast made for me. It included an omelet, French toast, and juice. Everything was fantastic.

I went swimming with my younger daughter in the afternoon. It was quite a busy day at the pool, but I’m always happy to play around in the pool.

Dinner was a smoked, bbq’d chicken that quite a treat, as we rarely eat a whole chicken, never mind one that is bbq’d. I did the cooking but it was actually easier than cooking smaller pieces as there was less work to do. There are no pictures to show but hey, it was a choice of eating or taking a picture and then eating and really, you’ve probably seen bbq’d chicken before.

To my own father (the best in the world, by the way) I give my best wishes and love. Other fathers out there, all the best to you today. We (father’s) are often not as celebrated as are the mothers but we love and are loved just the same.
