There's a saying, that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Think positively!

Well, we don't have any lemons ready for making lemonade, but we do have lemons growing in our garden.

We've not had any citrus growing in our garden before, but last year when we went to a nursery looking for new plants, we talked with the staff. We were reminded that where we live in Japan, citrus plants grow well. That discussion helped us to decide to buy and plant various citrus plants in our garden.

The lemon tree was one of the plants we bought, and it has survived the winter and it began to bloom this spring. It's nice to see that some of the blooms have given way to tiny little lemons growing on the tree.

Now we will have to wait and see how many of these tiny lemons grow into full-sized lemons. Big, small, good, not so good does not matter much to us. We love citrus fruits, so we will find some way to use whatever we end up with.
