Tis the Season to Eat Nabe

One of the great winter dishes, Nabe, is on the menu tonight.

I've extolled the virtues of Nabe before, so I won't go into that story today.We're still in the midst of winter here, and while not as cold as many other places, it is still cold for us here. Warm food to warm the soul and the stomach is always appreciated.Nabe is simple to prepare and is easy to enjoy. There are so many variations on the dish so there is usually something for everyone's lifestyle.Tonight we enjoyed Sesame-Miso flavoured Nabe that included various vegetables, tofu and sliced pork. It was rich, filling, and deeply satisfying. Leftovers will be eaten tomorrow for lunch and the flavours will be just as good, if not better.
