All that sparkles is not gold; sometimes it’s silver.Silver Week has begun.We’ve been celebrating Golden Week in Japan for as long as I’ve been here. It’s a nice long holiday stretch in the Spring, but because everyone has the holiday, travelling can be a busy, tiring event.Now, we have Silver Week in the Fall. Monday is Respect for the Aged Day and Wednesday is the Autumnal Equinox Day. Because Tuesday is between two national holidays, it has been granted holiday status. Together with the weekend, this gives 5 days of holidays.We have no major plans other than relaxing and enjoying the nice weather. Let the holidays begin!
