Uchizma beach. This is a 10 minute walk from my wife’s parents’ house. It looks pretty nice, doesn’t it?

That’s one of the things we commented on during this visit. The scenery around the sea is completely different from what we have here in Naruto. In Mugi, there is more green to be seen around the sea areas.

Our visit included time with family, good food (sashimi to die for!), and beautiful nature.

We spent an afternoon at Uchizma playing in the sand and the water’s edge. We visited with our relatives (they run the minshuku or inn at the end of the beach - fantastic meals and hospitality if you should ever get a chance to visit!), enjoyed the sounds and views and relaxed.

The surfers were there, but there were no waves in the afternoon. My guess is the morning was good (wetsuits were hanging out drying) and that they were waiting for the evening waves.

All in all, a great visit. And, as always, looking forward to our next visit.
