Yes, I Put Basil in the Ratatouille.

I love summer for the bountiful goodness that we receive. With such goodness, sometimes I do some cooking.

We picked tomatoes and basil from our garden.


We received eggplant and zucchini from friends.


What to do, what to do. Of course, I made ratatouille. And yes, I put Basil in the Ratatouille.


The first time I made ratatouille long, long ago was after picking fresh vegetables from a farm in Canada.


I was awestruck by the simplicity of the recipe, but the depth of flavour. Such a strong memory, that I can almost taste it now. With really fresh produce, not much is needed to produce something delicious.


This ratatouille turned out well. Not as good as the first time, but what can ever match the first time?
