USJ (Universal Studios Japan) has been near to us for quite a long time now, but up until this weekend, we’d never made the pilgrimage there.

We’d been to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea and had a good time there, but a visit to the Magic Kingdom means a plane ride and usually at least one night’s stay in a hotel.

Getting to USJ from Naruto was easier. We walked 5 minutes to catch a tour bus that stopped in front of the Naruto train station and in just under 2 hours, we were at USJ.

We were lucky with the weather while there. It was supposed to be cool/cold and wet, but instead it was warm and hazy. Also, the number of visitors was expected to be very high due to all kids being on Spring vacation now, but the wait times for the most part were tolerable.

We enjoyed many rides and attractions while there and even though we didn’t see everything we a lot. All in all we had a great time.

In 2014 a new section that will portray the world of Harry Potter will open. I’ll consider going for a visit and maybe having a Butterbeer or two!
