I'm a new land owner.

I drink Scotch and get free land. A win-win situation.

Well, I did it. Purchased some land.

Let me set the scene.

Woody Allen’s Love and Death (1975) features a family member who owns a piece of land. A valuable piece of land. A piece of land about the size of a pie. A piece of land that the owner carries around with him.

Like that character, I now own a piece of land that I theoretically I could carry around with me.

A recently purchase bottle of single malt Scotch Whisky came with this free offer: one square foot of land in Scotland! As if the good Scotch wasn’t enough! So yours truly now owns land in Scotland, and like the character in Love and Death, one day I will build a house on my land. And when I do, I will invite you to join me for summers in Scotland. Until then, cheers!
