April 22nd, 2018 is Earth Day.It's a good idea to help take care of our home, Earth, and to try to limit the damage done to it if we want to keep living here.Today, my wife and I picked weeds from our parking lot by hand, instead of using any poisonous material which could harm plant foods or other living creatures.We planted vegetables in our garden, and put more soil on our lawn to help the grass grow. Not many people around us have any lawn to speak of, but we think that besides looking nice, it keeps the area cooler in summer than concrete would.Two new blueberry bushes were planted, and a slew of flowers were planted.Fresh mint, cilantro, sorrel and garlic chives were picked for our dinner, Spring Rolls. We also added grated carrots that were given to us from our neighbors garden.The Spring Rolls were delicious and we finished off our dinner with some carrot cake cupcakes, made from the carrots we were given.The day is done, the plants are planted, the garden is watered, and our tummies are full. It's been a nice Earth Day. Thanks, Earth.
