There isn't a large selection of international food here in Naruto, so I always enjoy introducing the younger students to tacos, a food from another culture. I take a lot of liberty in using the word 'tacos', but the introduction has to start somewhere. Tastes evolve over time and I believe it's good to try new things.Over the years, doing our 'Tacos Party' we've introduced this food to lots and lots of kids who would have never had the opportunity to try the food otherwise. These people will grow up and hopefully be open to new food experiences.As usual, the students were 'tacos masters' at making their flour tortillas in no time flat. In fact the youngest member (this being her second time to join this party in as many years) kept urging me to let them at the dough while I did my demonstration of how to make the tortillas.Tacos were made and then consumed. A hush fell over the crowd as they devoured the first, then second, then third taco. Discussion, laughter, games, eating - love at the table.Tummies full, students gave their thanks and left for the day. A good time was had by all.Thank you one and all!
