October's Cooking Lesson

How time flies! Here is this month’s cooking lesson blog.

Here I am, back with the quick summary of today’s cooking lesson.

Today’s menu was brunch-like, but was not labelled as such because I didn’t put many savoury items on the menu.

The students cooked up yeasted waffles, home sausages, and blueberry syrup. We also had a bit of quiche that I cooked up last night and some fresh fruits.

With the savoury and sweet balanced on the menu, this menu had something for everyone. The sausages were great and the quiche was filling, which was surprising considering how small the piece was.

As for the waffles, I couldn’t decide which tasted better: the salted caramel sauce with whipped cream, the home-made strawberry jam (my wife’s) or the blueberry syrup made by the students. Everything was good.

I’m looking forward to our next lesson.
